PhD Students and Postdocs

Sea-level and Coastal Change Laboratory, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Hong Kong

Seeking PhD students and/or postdocs to join the Sea-level and Coastal Change Lab at the University of Hong Kong to work on funded projects in Western Australia and Southeast and East Asian coastlines to:

  • Develop new, high-resolution records of relative sea-level change using microfossil (e.g., foraminifera, diatoms, pollen), geochemical (e.g., bulk or compound specific stable carbon isotopes), or novel (e.g., eDNA) proxies.
  • Decipher mechanisms of sea-level and paleoenvironmental change and carbon storage in coastal settings.

Highly competitive candidates for PhD studentships are encouraged to apply for HKU Presidential PhD Scholar Programme  and the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme .
