PhD Student in Climate Science / Climate Change Impacts at Syracuse University

The Department of Geography and The Environment at Syracuse University is seeking a student interested in pursuing PhD research in climate science and climate change impacts, starting in fall 2023. The prospective student could pursue research on the drivers of climate extremes, the impacts of climate change on extreme heat, energy systems, agriculture-climate interactions, or related topics. Prospective students should have a strong interest in climate science and in the use of climate data analytics to understand how human societies and systems are affected by climate variability and change. Programming experience is beneficial, particularly in Python, R, or Matlab. PhD students are guaranteed funding for a minimum of 4 years including a 12-month stipend, full tuition support, and benefits.
