PhD Scholarship in Brain Engineering

PHD Degree Scholarship: Kyungpook National University (KNU) (www.knu.ac.kr) is of one of the leading research universities and ranked 2nd in terms of research productivity in South Korea. Cognitive Intelligence and Control Lab (CICL) is an integral part of College of IT Engineering at KNU, focuses primarily on intelligent control and designs  for health care and industrial drives/Robotics. Scholarships are available for research programs in electrical/electronic engineering leading to PhD (3.5~ 4 years), Masters + Ph.D (4.5 years combined course) for highly motivated and exceptional students. The programs are research based and require publishing of research results in top academic journals. Selected candidates will be involved in government funded research projects. Candidates will receive tuition fee waiver and scholarship (Approx. 1200$/month for PhD study; ). Kyungpook National University (KNU) is one of the leading national universities in Korea 

The  PhD degree scholarships position will be linked to existing research projects in CICL Lab, and focus on one or more of the following areas:

oNeural Decoding: Brain-Computer Interface Applications based on EEG; Neural decoding for Alzheimer’s Disease ;Brain Network functional analysis, EEG, Artificial intelligence, Deep Learning

oVehicles and Robotics:  Car shared control, Human-machine interface, Fault Diagnosis and Estimation, Electric Vehicles, Industrial drives etc

Eligibility: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree holding candidates with strong academic background from electrical/ electronic/ communications engineering (EEE, ECE, and EI, Biomedical Engineering) are encouraged to apply.
