PhD position
There is a vacancy for PhD position at the Department of Biological and Medical Psychology. The position is for a fixed-term period of 4 years
About the project/work tasks:
The appointment as PhD candidate will be made on the basis of previous education and former scientific work, as well as quality and relevance of idea and plans for the research projects.
Please note that the project must be designed and developed in collaboration with the relevant research group. To be able to apply for the position, you must first contact a potential supervisor or research group and develop a project description. More information on research groups can be found at the Department of Biological and Medical Psychology website
Alternatively, you can contact the Head of Department/Deputy who will then guide you to a relevant research group/supervisor.
To be considered for the position you must hold a relevant master’s degree or the equivalent (Norwegian or international) in MNT (Mathematics, science and technology in a broad sense). This may for example include a master’s in neuroscience, psychology or speech therapy, but other degrees may also be relevant. Applications with a research project that can be linked to a theme within the MNT initiative will be prioritized. The connection to the MNT initiative should be made explicit in the application.
The project must qualify the candidate for admission to the PhD program at the Faculty of Psychology. The PhD candidate will also be affiliated with The International Graduate School in Integrated Neuroscience (IGSIN)

About the PhD position:
The duration of the PhD position is 4 years, of which 25 per cent of the time each year comprises required duties associated with research, teaching and dissemination of results. The employment period may be reduced if you have previously been employed in a recruitment position.
About the research training: As a PhD Candidate, you must participate in an approved educational program for a PhD degree within a period of period of 3 years. When your qualification for the position is evaluated, you will also be evaluated for admission to the PhD program at the Faculty of Psychology.
