PhD position in Predictive Radio Resource Management for 6G Wireless Networks

The research group Communication Systems and Networks (CSN) at Mid Sweden University (MIUN), is looking for an excellent, motivated, self-driven Ph.D. student to work in the area of predictive radio resource management in 6G wireless networks. The position is placed at the Sensible Things that Communicate (STC) research center, who is a leading Scandinavian research center in Industrial IoT and is doing research on fields ranging from wireless connectivity, network security and cryptography, distributed systems, ML/AI, embedded systems, visualization, and measurement systems.

We seek an outstanding talent with a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Mathematics, or similar. The candidate needs to have a solid background in wireless communication, optimization, signal processing and programming. Previous experiences in RRM and ML/AI is an advantage.

The position offers a monthly salary (~3000 € per month) and the Ph.D. student will be supervised by Prof. Mikael Gidlund (MIUN), Dr Aamir Mahmood (MIUN) and Nurul Huda Mahmood from Oulu University. It is expected that the student will spend a longer research visit at Oulu University.
