- DESCRIPTION: The School of Natural Resources at West Virginia University is searching for a Ph.D. student to study population ecology and genetics of snowshoe hare and Appalachian cottontails in West Virginia. Students will collect fecal samples for DNA analysis to identify species, assess population structure and diversity, estimate population size, and detect the presence of rabbit hemorrhagic disease. The student will then use the collected data to develop a spatially explicit capture-recapture (SECR) model.

- Qualifications
