Job description
We are looking for a PhD candidate with a strong interest in (endocrine) oncology and immuno-oncology for our project ‘Novel therapeutic applications through drug repurposing in thyroid carcinoma” (within REPO4EU consortium)’. The project aims to establish and validate innovative mechanism-based therapeutic strategies as promising and feasible solutions for low-complexity tumors such as thyroid carcinoma. Will you join our ambitious team?
Patients with advanced and undifferentiated thyroid carcinoma have a poor prognosis and limited treatment options. In contrast to other malignant tumors, they are characterized by a low mutational burden and are promising candidates for such an approach through drug discovery and repurposing. The current project includes in vitro, in silico and in vivo proof-of concept studies to validate the feasibility of this concept. The study is part of an exciting collaborative project (REPO4EU) funded by the Horizon Europe program.
