About the position
For a position as a PhD Candidate, the goal is a completed doctoral education up to an obtained doctoral degree.
NTNU is seeking a highly motivated graduate student to enrol in an Industrial Doctorate hosted at the Department of Structural Engineering at NTNU, Norway and the Department of Cement Process and Systems R&D at FLSmidth A/S, Denmark.
The project consists of two employment periods and an industrial secondment at CEMMAC in Slovakia is foreseen during the second period:
1) 1st period: 15 months at the company FLSmidth in Denmark
2) 2nd period: 21 months at NTNU, Norway
The project is part of the international doctoral training network entitled “Valorization of CO2 for low carbon cement (CO2Valorize)”, funded by the Marie Skolodowska-Curie Action of the European Commission. The complete programme consists of eight international PhD projects that perform individual research projects to identify technological solutions which helps to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the cement industry.
