About the position

We have a vacancy for a PhD position in didactics of mathematics at the Department of Mathematical Sciences to take place within the framework of the Anthropological theory of the didactic (ATD).

For a position as a PhD Candidate, the goal is a completed doctoral education up to an obtained doctoral degree.  

The goal of this PhD position is to comprehensively take stock, through the use of the ATD, of the modelling tools potentially available in the secondary school mathematics curriculum, and the modelling uses that can be made of them, in order to train students to efficiently investigate the natural and social world around them.

The PhD project will be supervised by Professor Heidi Strømskag.

The main workplace will be Trondheim, Norway.
