The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces
Job Overview/Summary:
Under the direct supervision of Senior Health Manager, the Pharmacy Assistant need to check pharmacy inventory tools and other tool related with medicine and medical supplies and work together with supply chain team in receiving/ distributing of drugs and medical supplies on a monthly/quarterly basis. Also, the Pharmacy Assistant assists in coordinating with camps pharmacy staffs, IPD/OPD clinics, and reproductive child health staffs from Ban Mai Nai Soi and Ban Mae Surin camps related with pharmacy activities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervisor for the quarterly procurement of essential drugs, medical supplies, and equipment for Mae Hong Son camps.
- Check Pharmacy Inventory Tool for drugs balance and expiry dates and other tools related with pharmacy and organizational requirements by day-to-day basis.
- Assist in reviewing of expiry date of all stock items and report to SHMs when stocks will be expired within 6 months period and coordinate with Supply Chain team for further process.
- Assist in checking and ensuring the quality and standard of incoming medicine and medical supplies in warehouse after receiving from suppliers.
- Assist the Senior Health Managers and camp pharmacy staffs in compiling drugs orders from camp clinics and distribution of drugs and medical supplies to the camps, to avoid stock outs in the camp pharmacy warehouses.
- Prepare store release and/or checking store release from camps before sending to supply chain team.
- Assist in keeping accurate stock balance by physical and organizational recording systems for both camps of Mae Hong Son.
- Assist in coordinating with supply chain and procurement team to ensure the procured drugs, medical supplies and equipment will be received on timely manner and quality checking and distribution of drugs and medical supplies to respective camps of Mae Hong Son.
- Support in providing the refresher/ initial training regarding registers, recording and electronic tools of pharmacy.
- Monitor and check pharmacy registers, electronic tools of pharmacies prepared by camp-based pharmacy staff and provide feedback and on the job training if necessary to improve camp pharmacy warehouses of both camps in Mae Hong Son.
- Assist the office work related to laboratory unit requested by SHMs and/or Senior Laboratory Technical Officer.
- Communicate and coordinate with the pharmacy, warehouse and supply chain staff from other sites under the guidance of supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Health, Logistics or other relevant fields.
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year experience in Pharmacy warehouse management or equivalent.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills, good at multi-taking, flexible.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision. Good task prioritization skill and good time and people management skill.
- Basic computer proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work with limited resources.
- Service minded and team-oriented person
- Ability to work on regular deadlines and adapt to changing situation
- Ability to work well in a team and with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience in non-governmental organizations and migrant/refugee context preferred

Working Environment: This position is based in Mae Hong Son with frequent travel to Bai Mai Nai Soi and Ban Mae Surin temporary shelters in Mae Hong Son province.
