An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional with experience and interest in working with postgraduate students to develop a positive and inclusive research culture. Sitting within a new team focussed on the University’s delivery of the Researcher Development Concordat, this role will be integral to ensuring that the University successful delivers on its new Postgraduate Research Strategy.

In this strategy we affirm key commitments: that postgraduate researchers (PGRs) are crucial to research culture vitality, growth, and success; ensuring equity and parity of experience whilst recognising disciplinary and faculty research diversity; creating a culture where PGRs are registered as students but engaged with as early career researchers and Faculty-members. This reflects our values and demonstrates our commitment the Researcher Development Concordat.

This officer post will focus on creating a vibrant research culture and environment for PGRs, ensuring continuity for, and sustainability of, a new suite of PGR-centred research and professional events. To be successful in the role, the postholder will need to foster high-quality relationships with postgraduates, research supervisors, and managers to increase awareness of Bradford’s offer for PGR.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and delivery high impact events for students. An understanding of the current postgraduate research landscape, Researcher Development Concordat, and sector activities around improving research culture will be an advantage. This post is offered on a full time basis, however flexible working arrangements will be considered.
