Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop policies and programs that promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in various humanitarian sectors.
- Ensure that projects comply with international standards such as the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the International Standards for Inclusion (IASC).
- Provide technical recommendations to promote an inclusive and sustainable environment for persons with disabilities.
- Develop guidance tools and manuals that facilitate the inclusion of persons with disabilities in various activities.
- Raise awareness in local communities about the rights of persons with disabilities and the importance of their participation in social and economic life.
- Develop mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the implementation of inclusion policies and the achievement of desired goals.
- Analyze data and prepare reports on the progress of inclusion projects and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that disability inclusion indicators are included in monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Participate in forums and coordination meetings to ensure the inclusion of issues related to persons with disabilities in humanitarian and development agendas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in social work, special education, international development, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of disability inclusion or in protection programs. In-depth knowledge of international standards and policies related to the rights of persons with disabilities.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop strategic solutions for inclusion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and mentor.
- Proficient in Arabic, with English preferred.
- Ability to work in unstable environments and adapt to field challenges.
- Experience in developing guidelines and inclusion tools.
- Skills in reporting and data analysis related to inclusion.
- Ability to negotiate and build partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
