People and Culture Assistant (Temporary 1 year) in Surrey, British Columbia

Job Posting: Program Assistant – People and Culture Team

Location:  Surrey, BC (Hybrid)

Hours:  Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.  

Status:  Temporary (mid September 2024 to November 1, 2025)

The People and Culture team is excited to announce a great temporary opportunity for a Program Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a seasoned People and Culture Assistant who brings a high level of organization, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the People and Culture team, including onboarding, Health & Safety, HR compliance, and technical assistance.

  • Manage and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.

  • Offer frontline customer service to staff, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating various People and Culture initiatives and programs.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a People and Culture Assistant or similar role.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, CRM databases, Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce (would be an asset)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.

    Education: 

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources or related areas of study

  • Preference for candidate with, or working toward, Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation
