PC Infrastructure & Desktop Application Support Engineer

The University of Liverpool IT Services Department (ITS) is seeking to recruit a PC Infrastructure Engineer with experience in the maintenance and management of a large-scale enterprise or academic PC estate. Duties will include the support and management of operating system and applications lifecycles for the University `Managed Windows Service¿ (MWS) estate, which currently consists of 10,000+ general computers, and 3,000+ specialist teaching computers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of rapidly evolving services and technologies within a Russell Group University. You will have proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining complex applications on MS Windows desktop operating systems. Application packaging and software licensing experience a desirable asset along with previous exposure to OSX management to assist in development and support of our wider end user computing estate. We are seeking a service delivery-oriented individual with a passion for what they do and the ability to work closely as part of a collaborative team. You will be educated to Degree level or have relevant professional experience, in addition to excellent communication skills. This post is a full-time permanent position.
