Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Payroll Officer
to join Human Resources, Administrative Division.

The role of Payroll Officer within QUT is a vital role and delivers high quality, client focussed and operational payroll services to clients within QUT and works as a dedicated team to perform a broad range of duties relating to the fortnightly payroll functions within the University

About the Administrative Division
Administrative Division supports the governance and operations of the University, including planning and quality, facilities and services for students and staff. The Administrative Division is led by the Vice-President (Administration) and University Registrar.

The Human Resources Department enhance the talents of our real world people through effective leadership, expert advice and professional development, while creating a highly engaged workforce by fostering strong organisational culture. The Department partners with each area of the University to deliver tailored solutions according to the area’s needs.
What you need to succeed
You will thrive in this role if you are passionate about developing trusted working relationships and delivering high-level administrative support to a collegiate and high-performing team.
You will demonstrate:
1. Education, training and/or relevant end to end payroll processing experience, equivalent to the completion of a degree.
2. Proven ability and knowledge to maintain, uphold, keep updated and understand all legislative and QUT Enterprise Agreement requirements relating to Payroll Services.
3. Demonstrated ability to enter data with a high degree of accuracy for fortnightly processing on a large, complex HR/Payroll system
4. Demonstrated experience in client focused service environment, with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, manage collaborative working relationships and engage with diverse client groups.
5. Ability to work as part of a team, multi-task with limited supervision in a high pressure and time sensitive environment.
6. Demonstrated record of problem solving complex customer service issues with a high level of attention to detail.

Remuneration: Total remuneration range: $83,609 to $94,271 (HEW5) (inclusive of $70,6501 to $79,660 pa salary; 17% superannuation; and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
