Job Summary The Department of Psychiatry seeks a detail-oriented individual to be a part of their team in the ambulatory clinical setting. The Patient Services Coordinator requires an individual who can handle a large volume of calls daily with emphasis on providing excellent customer service and attention to detail. This position requires a demonstration of commitment to the foundations of service excellence by treating all customers with professionalism, dignity and respect. This position will focus on: appointment coordination and scheduling; trouble-shooting and problem resolution and escalation of access or patient complaints; collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payor source information including other important demographic information; and providing clinical scheduling support to clinicians and clinical staff.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Qualified candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality of work, excellent computer skills and confidentiality and compassion when handling sensitive patient issues.

Preferred Education/Experience HS or the equivalent plus more than five year of related experience preferred.
