| Physical Requirements | The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs. The conditions of work may involve regular exposure to loud noises, intermittent exposure to blood borne/airborne pathogens and combative/violent people, and occasional exposure to cuts and punctures. |

| Job Summary | Greets all patients on arrival and ensures timely and accurate registration process, insurance verification, outpatient scheduling coordination with other departments, co-pay collection at time of service and keeps all patients informed regarding delays and reschedules appointments upon check out. Identifies schedule optimization opportunities and addresses without direction. The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience and able to communicate in a calm and helpful manner during stressful and/or crisis situations. Should have the ability to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously. |
