About the opportunity

Based in Southern Cross University’s forward-thinking Office of Engagement , you will have an opportunity to flex your marketing and stakeholder management skills to promote the University’s strengths and build industry and business connections.

The Partnerships Officer – Innovation Projects is a dynamic and highly creative role, responsible for implementing initiatives that engage the prospective student, partner and industry audiences through promoting and organising the delivery of key brand, marketing and engagement projects, activities and events. Your core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the delivery of programs and activities.
  • Organise the implementation of targeted activations and outreach initiatives including appropriate University integration.
  • Undertake event logistics and project planning activities including creating and managing timelines, reporting and budget management.
  • Maintain and report on data, including developing datasets capturing industry and business connections within the University footprint.

About you

You will have a strong interest in innovation in all shapes and sizes, with demonstrated experience developing contemporary marketing and promotional materials across multiple platforms for events or activations. More specifically, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification and subsequent experience in a marketing, engagement or event management environment, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience playing a lead role in the execution and implementation of events, campaigns and activations.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure outcomes are achieved.
  • Strong organisational skills, and competence with computer systems such as CRM, Microsoft Office, basic design software programs and photo/audio-visual technology.

Salary and benefits

Our staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer’s leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. This position is:

  • Full-time, fixed term (12 Months).
  • Located at Lismore, however hybrid working arrangements are available for the right candidate on request (if Gold Coast based, travel to Lismore twice a week will be an essential part of this role).
  • HEW Level 5. The base salary ranges from $73,987 – $82,271 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $96,257.
