JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Communications Program of the School of Humanities at Penn State Harrisburg is looking for a student worker to assist in the Communications Media Center for up to 15 hours per week. The successful candidate will have experience in the use and troubleshooting of media production equipment such as DSLRs, video cameras, and lighting, and have some experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs.  

 

Job Duties

• Assist with the equipment-borrowing and studio-use process for students.

• Keep careful track of inventory and follow inventory and storage protocol.

• Charge batteries.

• Know (or learn) basic equipment/software use in order to assist students.

• Perform initial troubleshooting of equipment problems.

• Assist students in setting up studio lighting and backdrops.

• Assist with any other needs of the program.

Requirements and Qualification

• Applicants must be detail-oriented, reliable, and have good customer service skills.
