Part-time Senior Course Administrator (Practical Ethics)

We have an exciting opportunity to support a developing programme of education in Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford.
You will play an important administrative role in supporting our recently established MSt in Practical Ethics. Working closely with the Graduate Studies and Programme Manager, you will guide our talented, international, and diverse student cohorts through their course and University experiences from admissions to assessment. Your client-focused attitude and student administration skills, including meticulous record-keeping, will be important in supporting our mid-career students in navigating the course and University taking into account their individual needs. Your organisational skills will help us provide high-quality teaching in the six-week-long modules.
You will also support a complementary professional development programme, bringing education in practical ethics to a range of international contexts, including a consultancy programme, working closely with the Graduate Studies and Programme Manager and our vibrant research-led course team.
You will be working in one of the leading research centres in applied ethics, and at the Department of Continuing Education, one of the UK’s only specialist part-time higher education course providers, on this key joint initiative.
About you
You will be a student-focused administrator, with significant experience in higher education student administration, ideally in graduate administration, and in events organisation. You will have the ability to work well in a team, taking initiative where necessary.
This is a part-time post (0.6 FTE, approx 22 hours per week) and we would be willing to consider most working patterns (for example, but not limited to, 3 days, 5 days working school hours, 4 short days, etc.). Please state your preferred working pattern in your application.
