JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The College of Engineering, Office of Engineering Research Administration (OERA) is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, skilled part-time Research Administrator for the post-award team. This position will perform most work activities in a large volume, fast-paced, complex, detailed, and multifaceted environment. This position is responsible for providing trainings to new hires and the department research administrators. Assit investigators, departments, and the finance office in all aspects of post-award administration of various grants and contracts. Work with faculty, Research Accounting and sponsors on complex invoicing requirements. Process budget revisions, no-cost extensions, and other research administration functions. Provide assistance in creation of new accounts in SIMBA, account transfers, monitor deadlines, resolve problems. Assist in the close-out of sponsored projects to ensure timely financial close-out of sponsored projects. Assist in the preparation of special management funding reports. Graduate of Penn State ACES Program and experience with electronic proposal submission sites, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and SIMS/SIMS Budgets is preferred.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
