The University of Southern California, one of the nation’s top universities, invites applications for the position of part time instructor in the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering within the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. The position in the Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering is for part time instructors in undergraduate and graduate level courses on subjects including operations, supply chain, and discrete event simulation of non Markovian systems. At least a master degree in a related discipline is required, as well as previous teaching experience. A doctoral degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or related discipline is preferred. We are looking for someone who can teach:
Planning and scheduling: Production planning, forecasting, scheduling, and inventory; computer integrated decision systems in analysis and control of production systems;
Design of Supply Chains: Product, distribution, transportation and site selection; analysis and optimization of supply chain networks;
Knowledge of concepts in discrete event simulation and their applications, creating simulation models and animation using a commercial simulation software (Arena)
Analytics courses in predictive analytics, machine learning, data mining, and/or optimization
