Part-Time Instructor – Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Division

The UBC Sauder School of Business is seeking applicant(s) for Part-time Instructor position(s) for teaching: (1) Management & Organizational Behaviour (Introduction to Organizational Behaviour), (2) Labour Relations, and (3) Building High Performance Teams and Organizations beginning July 1, 2026.

Responsibilities: The position will focus on teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Sauder School of Business. The courses: (1) Management & Organizational Behaviour (Introduction to Organizational Behaviour), (2) Labour Relations, and (3) High Performance Teams and Organizations will require the candidate to possess skills and understanding in all the major areas of Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management and be prepared to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Other responsibilities and expectations include: Liaising with faculty members to prepare syllabus and materials, familiarity with teaching online, course coordination and innovation, and participation in faculty and undergraduate/graduate program preparatory and review meetings, attending graduation events, holding office hours and related activities. We also expect the candidate to engage in professional development

Qualifications:
• Completion of post-graduate degrees such as a Master degree in Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior or Human Resource Management or equivalent.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching. In particular, the candidate should have proven teaching experience in a broad variety of courses including Organizational Behaviour, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, and introductory business fundamentals.
• Relevant academic and work experience in these same areas of expertise.
• Familiarity with learning management systems, classroom technology and innovative pedagogical approaches to create inspiring learning experiences.
• Willingness to support student activities such as coaching case competitions, and providing career development guidance.
• Ability to work collaboratively and productively with other instructors and staff.
