Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Business Services for Campus Recreation, this position is part-time, 24 hours per week, and will provide financial support for the Business Services unit. Campus Recreation is a department within the division of Student Affairs that provides recreation and wellness programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the following: IM Building, McCoy Natatorium, Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, Tennis Center, White Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness and Wellness Programs, and Intramural Sports. Campus Recreation is comprised of 53 full-time staff and more than 900 student staff members.

Specific responsibilities include working with multiple units within the department to establish work processes and procedures consistent with university policies.  Responsible for assisting work units with daily accounting activities, including monitoring and reconciling budgets; preparing, developing and running financial reports to achieve budget balances and forecast expenses.  Assists staff with proper procedures for purchasing, including assisting with procurement processes and Purchasing Card reconciliation, processing travel and reimbursement requests.  Additional responsibilities include new hire processing, contracting, invoicing, and managing accounts receivable. 

Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  A working knowledge of SIMBA, eBuy, WorkDay, and ERS is preferred.  This position requires independent work on complex assignments, while exhibiting a high degree of professionalism.  Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (oral and written) skills are essential. Must be able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and good judgment are vital requirements. Required to take initiative and have flexibility to adapt to shifting workload demands. The successful candidate will have the willingness to lead and work in a team-based environment as well as an eagerness to support and engage with all departmental and Student Affairs initiatives and efforts. The ability to foster a positive climate among a diverse group of staff, student employees and participants is essential.
