Job Description

Fairmont Winnipeg is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences while crafting high-quality cocktails in a fast-paced, luxury environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure all guest service requests are fulfilled promptly and efficiently, consistently exceeding guest expectations
  • Deliver exceptional, friendly, and professional service at all times
  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and product security
  • Stock, clean, and maintain the bar to established standards
  • Accurately process and handle all guest bills
  • Perform opening and closing duties of the bar
  • Assist on the floor as required to support overall service operations

Qualifications

  • Previous serving experience in a high volume, fine dining/upscale restaurant or lounge required, 2-3 years minimum.
  • Strong wine knowledge and excellent working knowledge of specialty spirits, wines and beers required. Certification in F&B or Wine Stewarding an asset.
  • Good comfort level with F&B POS system.
  • “Smart Choices” responsible liquor service certification required.
  • Strong classic cocktails knowledge.
  • Creating craft cocktails is an asset.
  • Service oriented, team player, flexible in high paced environment and able to handle pressure with grace.
