We are currently recruiting a well-organised, proactive and motivated Outer Office Support Officer to join the Ambassador”s Office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in a diplomatic environment and gain first-hand insight into how an Embassy at the centre of our foreign policy operates.
Main purpose of job:
Working closely with the Ambassador’s Private Secretary and other Private Office colleagues, the Outer Office Support Officer provides essential administrative and coordination support to the Ambassador and Deputy Head of Mission (DHM). The role offers unrivalled exposure to the Ambassador and senior leadership team, and a unique opportunity to learn how diplomatic priorities, stakeholder engagement and high‑level visits are managed in practice.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Ambassador’s Outer Office. This includes supporting diary coordination, stakeholder engagement, visits, events and a range of operational activities, often managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary for this position is €3,852.65 gross per month, based on a working week of 36 hours. In addition, an 8% holiday allowance is payable each year. The successful candidate will initially be offered a 7 months employment contract at Administrative Officer (AO) grade.

Visa/work permit requirements: Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in the Netherlands and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract. The successful candidate will be required to provide a BSN (citizen service number) on their start date and will need to arrange and pay for their own travel and accommodation, as well as any other living costs.
