Job Description:

eLearning and Graphic Design

  • Design and develop resources using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft, and Google applications in alignment with the branding guide
  • Create and configure visual elements and assets to be used in the Flamingo learning management system, teacher professional development sessions, and New Worlds Reading Initiative
  • Gain knowledge of current and appropriate styles and skills to design and develop diverse, equitable, and inclusive resources
  • Configure, review, and refine online learning experiences using D2L Brightspace and limited HTML code in alignment with the content specifications

File and Project Organization

  • Maintain and organize projects and associated project files on designated cloud storage services
  • Assist with development of new folder structures and systems
  • Manage and track time spent on projects

Learning Management System Maintenance

  • Revise learning experience configurations in the learning management system in alignment with project specifications
  • Provide quality assurance for learning experience configurations when the learning management system undergoes updates
  • Assist in the development and management of learning management system elements, templates, learning objects

Other Creative Tasks as Assigned

Expected Salary:

$15 – $20/hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience with the following Adobe Creative Cloud applications: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Ability to work remotely if needed
  • Incorporates constructive direction and feedback into present and future work
  • Consistent and positive communication with the Experience Design and
  • Development team in addition to members from across the Lastinger Center for Learning
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of ADA & WCAG guidelines
  • Experience with D2L Brightspace LMS
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Self-paced and detail-oriented
  • Ability to effectively work on multiple, ongoing projects at once
  • Demonstrated experience integrating representation, inclusion, and culture in creative and design processes
  • Eager to learn new skills
  • Innovative
