As an Operational Supervisor you will be a key part in ensuring that the compliance and health and safety standards are monitored and maintained across our provision, which include the Jubilee Sports Centre, Wide Lane Sports Grounds and Watersports Centre. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and support in the responsibility of ensuring that staffing levels are maintained to deliver a high-level of service to our customers.

Part of the role will include:

Organising and coordinating the daily operations of the sports facilities and uphold the customer service excellence plan. Ensuring risk management plans are adhered to, across the department.

Line management of direct reports, exercising good people management practices including mentoring, coaching, training, advice and guidance, as necessary.

Ensuring the delivery of Health and Safety inductions for all staff within sport. The Operations Supervisor Health and Safety is also responsible for liaising with other Supervisors within Sport to ensure all staff training is complete.

Supporting the vison of sport through contributing to the formulation and delivery of the Sports strategy. 

You will be qualified with a Pool Plant Operator qualification, a current NPLQ qualification, and First Aid qualification; we would consider investing in the right candidate, so do not let this expectation put you off. Relevant experience in the fitness, sport and leisure industry is essential, along with the experience of managing team members and the ability to think on your feet when situations arise.

As an Operational Supervisor you will be required to work early and late shifts, including weekends, as they will be a key holder, supporting our seven-day service.

Interview process: Interviews will include the delivery of a fitness class and interview.
