SALARY RANGE: $52,362.00 – $83,731.00 USD ANNUALLY

EDUCATION ACCREDITATION: Applicant’s education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education credentials obtained out of the US must be evaluated for US equivalency. Evaluation agencies information may be obtained at www.naces.org.

ELIGIBILITY: Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to this position identified as positions of trust will be required to authorize the release of and successfully complete a Fingerprint check.

PROBATION: All persons, including current City employees, selected from this position will be on probation for 6 months.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Operations Assistant II encompasses professional and analytical work involving the practical application of management principles and techniques to improve operational activities.

SELECTION PROCESS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:

EDUCATION: Have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate.

AND 

EXPERIENCE: Have one (1) year of experience performing and coordinating standard administrative/operations projects.

OR

NOTES (EQUIVALENCIES): Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • General knowledge of English usage.
  • General knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques used in collecting, compiling, and organizing data.
  • General knowledge of basic analytical principles and techniques.
  • Ability to prepare and present reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers and the general public.
  • Ability to learn an agency’s purpose, programs, and operations.
  • Ability to collect, compile, edit, classify, and tabulate statistical and qualitative data.
  • Ability to prepare and present ideas and information clearly yet concisely.

EXAMINATION PROCESS
