| Job Summary | POSITION The Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas seeks to fill two tenure-track faculty positions in the Finance area. Appointments will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on the qualifications of the candidate. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate level courses in Finance and Economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to teaching, the position requires an active agenda of research and publication. The position is housed in the Finance area, and the appointment will be effective September 1, 2023. The positions will remain open until filled. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must warrant the appointment at a faculty rank (and with or without tenure) consistent with their academic qualifications and accomplishments. Potential candidates applying for a senior rank must have (1) a sufficient record for publication in the A journals in management related areas-specifically the list of 24 journals underpinning the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings™ (see top100.utdallas.edu); (2) an earned doctorate in management or a related field; and (3) a demonstrated record in research and teaching. Experience in successfully working with doctoral students will be a plus. Applicants for the Assistant Professor rank should demonstrate ability to publish in the same set of journals as senior candidates. For applicants for the Assistant Professor position, a doctoral degree is required prior to joining, but those with ABD status will be considered at the application/interviewing stage. ABOUT FINANCE Faculty in the Finance area typically conduct research covering Asset, Corporate and other finance related fields. The Finance area has an active PhD program and offers large, flexible graduate and undergraduate programs. | Preferred Education and Experience | The appointee must have an earned PhD in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, prior to the beginning of the fall term of 2023. While our preference is for more seasoned candidates that have had the opportunity to develop a research record, we will consider rookies as well. |
