| Brief Summary of Job Description | This an entry-level position. Incumbents in this classification perform a wide variety of responsible office support and administrative functions in support of the assigned department or college program. The Office Associate position requires proficiency in the full range of general office services and functions as well as knowledge of the services of their department and work assignment. |
| Job Duties | -Interact with current and potential customers and provide valid solutions. Provide excellent customer service utilizing knowledge of the Nebraska Safety Center and UNK procedures for accurate dissemination of information using independent judgement, tact and problem resolution skills. -Contribute to current Nebraska Safety Center Programs with assistance and backup; including Driver Education, DRIVE, STOP, Motorcycle and Pupil Transportation. -Serve as initial point of contact for a wide variety of issues and assist with providing appropriate resolutions using independent judgment, tact and decisiveness. -Perform numerous and varied work processes for multiple programs according to University guidelines and requirements . -Manage incoming calls and customer service inquires. |
| Required Qualifications | High School diploma or equivalent. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and possess a strong orientation towards collaboration, leadership and teamwork with people of diverse backgrounds. Must take initiative, operate independently, and be detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and organization. Expertise in using MS Suite and willingness to learn additional computer-based software. |
