Job Description: This student position is part of the University College team and will assist with the daily operations in the Center for Student Advancement. 

Job Duties:

  • Assisting with projects as required (i.e., preparation of materials for distribution, maintains calendars, creates spreadsheets, event setup, etc.)
  • Operating standard office machines – computers, copiers, scanners, etc.
  • Answering phone calls and routing or taking messages.
  • Greeting students and visitors.
  • Opening, routing, and preparing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintaining filing systems, records, and office supply inventory.
  • Assisting with student outreach and communication.
  • Coordinating with other departments.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the current Fall 2022 Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Must attach Fall 2022 class schedule.

Skills:

  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to interact with students, employees, members and public.
  • Position requires a detail-oriented and efficient individual able to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Technical Skills (i.e., web-based software, data entry, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Regular bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, and carrying.
  • Repetitive arm and wrist use.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 25 lbs, depending on job assignment.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, as necessary, and depending on job assignment, occasionally to frequently.
