Hiring Unit:
The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders
Position Summary:
The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders requires an assistant to support the Pediatric Speech and Language Teaching Clinic two days per week (Wednesday and Thursday).

-Receive families and help them access the waiting area and the rest rooms as required.

-Maintain the waiting area and the observation corridor.

-Monitor the voice mail box and the email for the clinic for cancelations or requests to reschedule appointments; schedule and re-schedule children for their appointments as required.

-Receive recruitment registration forms and support the recruitment process under the supervision of the speech-language pathologist.

-Help the speech-language pathologist and student speech-language pathologists sign-out and sign-in treatment and assessment materials; ensure that these materials are clean and complete at all times.

-Receive digital versions of clinic files and file in the appropriate confidential file folders as instructed by clinic staff.

-Audit files according to a set schedule to ensure that client files are maintained according to the clinic protocol (that is, ensure that the required files are provided and stored at the appropriate times).

-Assist with the recording of clinical sessions

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Must be work study approved

Must be available on Wednesdays &Thursdays

Have previous experience in an office setting

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience

Hourly Salary:
