Procurement Services
Position Summary:

Procurement Services wishes to hire a Procurement Office Assistant that would do various administrative tasks within the unit. Some of the tasks would include assisting with various projects such as Procurement contract clean-up and data entry, clerical support to buyers and bench-marking tasks. Other duties may include front line support such as order amendments/cancellations, system address and currency maintenance. Incumbent may also be required to provide support to the Systems and Client Support Supervisor, help desk staff and supplier management administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Analytical Skills: ability to analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication for dealing with lead buyer and stakeholders.
  • Computer Skills: Must be able to work with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate accurately in a concise manner
  • Teamwork: Work with other departments.
  • Also have the following skills: time management. attention to detail, problem-solving skills..
  • Adaptability to changes: Must be ready for sudden changes in the mandates.
  • Customer Service.

Incumbent must be eligible to work per McGill’s work-study program requirement and have a valid work permit. 

ELIGIBILITY: WORK STUDY STUDENTS AT McGiLL UNIVERSITY. CERTIFICATION FOR FALL 2O23 AND WINTER 2024 REQUIRED.

Work schedule of 20 hours and available until April 2024 – with possible extension for the summer months.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE B) $16.00
