Department of Music Performance, Ensemble Resource Office

Duties
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed tasks with minimal complexity and precise instruction.
Typical Functions:
Positive attitude while greeting and answering general inquiries. This includes answering general inquiries regarding rehearsals schedules, providing policies and procedures as well as providing locational directions, and directing queries to the Ensemble Resource Supervisor. Collects and enters data into established databases, including attendance records. Performs basic word processing function such as document formatting, labelling, spellcheck and drafting letters from template. Document preparation of forms, exams, marketing materials and emails. Such preparation may include sorting, collating, filing, scanning and photocopying. Distribution and tracking of items such as musical instruments and scores. A log to track these items may be required. Provide general assistance at events such as rehearsals and concerts. Maintain immediate work are in a clean and orderly fashion, including the rehearsal space. The above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks.
Required Skills
Good communication in person and via email. Demonstrated ability to prepare, distribute and collect sheet music for the ensemble. Efficiently setup and strike all rehearsals in the 30 minutes prior and following rehearsals. Keen attention to detail and timely follow up to emails. Submit official attendance records within 24 hours. Confirm seating charts and assignments for rehearsals. Work directly with the Ensemble Resource Supervisor and Performance Librarian. Must
be a music student. Preference given to member of the ensemble.Hourly Rate
