Summary

 

Location: TCH Pavilion for Women – Woodlands Location

 

Nurse Practitioner’s main clinical responsibilities will be in Texas Children’s Hospital in the Adolescent Pediatric clinics at the Woodlands location. Provides total nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician.

 

Job Duties:

 

• Provides total nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician.
• Conducts physical examinations and evaluations.
• Prescribes, dispenses and administers pharmaceutical treatments to patients.
• Gives patient care counsel and direction to nursing and other staff.
• Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records.
• Provides preventative health care services to long-term patients and arranges consultations and referrals.
• May guide less experienced nurse practitioners.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education: Required: Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
Experience: Required: Two years of experience as a nurse practitioner.
Certification/Licenses/Registration: Required: Current licensing as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
