Department Summary A wide range of student- and faculty-centered services are the cornerstone of the Libraries’ integral role in the University of North Texas community. As the most-used service on campus and an essential component of education and research at the University of North Texas, the Libraries offer access to an abundant collection of more than 6 million items (print and digital) along with expert personnel to assist patrons in achieving their academic and scholarly goals. We provide innovative and inclusive programs and support to enhance the intermingling of teaching, learning, and research at UNT.
The OA Book Usage Data Trust effort is a global consortium advancing the community governed sharing of quality, interoperable usage data. Through 2023, the Executive Director hosted at UNT, working with Co-PIs at OPERAS and OpenAIRE, will apply funds from the Mellon Foundation to engage global stakeholders through in-person workshops and conference presentations.
Position Summary This remote-eligible position will provide administrative support and pre/post event coordination to the remote Executive Director. This position will support a global project team online through the following activities:

  • Coordinating with stakeholders digitally across time-zones for calendaring, travel planning, event planning, and accounts payable processing
  • Meeting logistics coordination, including managing bid request processes with potential event venues
  • Managing travel and conference request, booking, and accounting processes in the UNT’s Library Dashboard system and Concur
  • Reimbursement and accounts payable processing via Concur
  • Data entry
  • Administering online community group listservs

Additional Posting Details

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Coordinator, and/or Event Planner working with senior executives
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and via zoom with stakeholders from diverse cultures, both domestically and abroad

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with SAP Concur
  • Experience coordinating workshop or conference event logistics
  • Experience booking travel for event participants
  • Experience processing travel reimbursements
  • Experience administering availability polls and managing calendar invites across time-zones
  • Experience scheduling calls in Zoom
  • Experience professionally communicating to English-as-a-Second-Language audiences
  • Experience working at UNT or another public institution

Work Schedule Variable – 10-15 hours on average, no more than 60 hours total per month
Flexible schedule but ideally between 8:00am-4:00pm CT Monday-Thursday
