NUS Corporate Driver

To fulfil driving duties to ferry NUS senior management, University guests, staff and students with special needs; and support mail and logistics delivery services in a comfortable, safe and efficient manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

•    Drive a range of NUS-owned vehicles (e.g. saloon car, MPV, mini-bus, panel van, pick-up and lorry)
•    Ferry NUS senior management, University guests, staff and students with special needs in a comfortable, safe and efficient manner.
•    Support mail and logistics delivery services.
•    Perform standby duties to ferry technical staff to attend to emergency maintenance/repair outside of office hours.
•    Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure they are clean and in good working order.
•    Use of Fleet Management System to receive and acknowledge booking assignments and details. 
•    Plan desired routes and estimate travel times using navigation apps/ devices. 
•    Resolve accident and incident promptly and in a customer-oriented manner.
•    All other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time.
 

Qualifications

•    Preferably with Secondary School education.
•    Valid driving license class 3 and 4 (preferably with bus vocational).
•    Well-versed in usage of navigation app/ devices for desired route planning.
•    Communicate effectively in person with cheerful personality.
•    Basic computer literacy; Able to read and write in English.
•    Knowledgeable about the rules of road and landmarks in Singapore.
•    Safe driver with no previous adverse driving record.
•    Opening learning development and technology adaptation.
•    Able to work after hours and on weekends/ public holidays when required.
•    Aptitude for excellence in customer service and a caring personality would be desirable.
•    Basic vehicular knowledge and mechanical skills would be an advantage.
•    Proven track record as driver for VIPs would be preferred.
