Position Summary: 
The incumbent will promote a culture of quality and standards of excellence for the Blood and Marrow Transplant patient, donor and their families. In collaboration with key BMT stakeholders the navigator will be required to promote changes to improve quality and patient safety throughout the BMT program. In addition, the navigator is responsible for oversight related to BMT quality requirements and compliance as required by various regulatory agencies.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $121,709.52                         Midpoint               $141,169.68                         Maximum             $160,608.96
 
 
Required Qualifications:
Current CA RN license
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Demonstrated practice with and knowledge of chemotherapy agents
Minimum 6 months experience working as an RN in an Inpatient or Outpatient Oncology setting OR 1 Year clinical experience and recent completion of cancer basics class from Oncology Nursing Society within previous year
Basic Life Support certification required
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
Oncology/Hematologic Malignancies patient population knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge of immunosuppressive therapies and care of the post-transplant patient
Oncology Nurse Certification
Knowledge of complications associated with hematological oncology conditions
