NON-OPERATIVE PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDIC PHYSICIAN

The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin is recruiting a board-eligible or certified non-operative pediatric orthopedist to join our pediatric orthopedic faculty. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions. Clinically this position will care for pediatric orthopedic patients in multiple UW Health clinical and regional clinical locations. The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in general pediatrics call on a rotating basis.

Primary duties include providing clinical care with a focus on pediatric orthopedics care. Clinically you will care for pediatric orthopedic patients in multiple UW Health clinical and regional clinical locations. The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in general pediatrics call on a rotating basis. Opportunities for research will be be available for candidates. The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every two years.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
