Overview of position

Under the overall supervision of the Senior Protection Associate and the direct supervision of the Senior Protection Assistant (SPA), the successful candidate will be responsible for the registration and screening of migrants visiting the office and organizing their referral to the relevant services to benefit from IOM activities as needed.

Role objectives

  • Conduct and organize the registrations/profiling of migrants MRC office ensuring all data is fully and accurately recorded using (MIMOSA) or at other assigned area such as at an airport, transit center, third-party facility, camp-based operation, or sub-office.

  • Undertake rapid needs assessment and update migrants’ files with services delivered.

  • Support the referral of migrants visiting the MRC office as per established SOPs.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient record management of the data entered and assist in the management of the migrant’s information system.

  • Keep track of received data, source, and other official documents.

  • Submit weekly/monthly relevant reports of activities as required by the supervisor.

  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all relevant paperwork in line with standards of conduct and data protection rules. Registration and Identification (Team Leader) or management of any noncompliance to SOPs or codes of conduct by IOM staff members or partners.

  • Support the team working on the beneficiaries’ case management within the voluntary humanitarian return program through finalizing screening and identifying the most vulnerable cases, ensuring beneficiaries receive appropriate support including return Assistance.

  • Perform any other related responsibilities, as assigned by the supervisors
