UN Women’s China Office in Beijing supports and carries out work on (i) enhancing women’s economic empowerment including in context of climate change and environmental protection; (ii) ending violence against women and (iii) sustainable financing, global partnerships and south-south cooperation . In addition to the above, UN Women also actively leads and contributes to various UN inter-agency processes and collaborates with UN organizations in context of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF).
Reporting to the Country Representative, the Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in Gender and Climate Change, including rural women’s economic empowerment projects in Qinghai and Hunan.
The Programme Analyst will provide substantive leadership to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation including stakeholder management and resource mobilization. The Programme Analyst guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary. The Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with the programme and operations team, UN Women HQ staff, Government officials, multi and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful UN Women programme implementation under portfolio.
1. Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in the area of WEE, climate change and environmental protection
