The Multinational Force and Observers seeks an experienced Power Plant Supervisor who will be responsible for the Stand-By power generation and round-the-clock distribution, as well as High Voltage distribution. Managing a team of international and local staff, he/she will also be responsible for the maintenance of all the generators, HV switch gear and transformers. The Power Plant Supervisor will also advise project managers on all issues relating to power production, distribution, and installation, ensure health and safety practices and procedures are adhered to and develop and implement emergency response plans.
The position is in Sinai, Egypt, in an international work community of
approximately 1500 military and civilian personnel of numerous nationalities.The successful candidate must have:
· A recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering from home country;
· 10+ years’ experience within the service industry involving power generation and distribution;
· 3+ years supervisory experience of a multi-skilled power generation team or similar.
He/she must also have excellent communication and organizational skills, be fluent in spoken and written English and proficient with MS Office Suite.
