Network and Telephony Specialist – Multinational Force and Observers

We are looking for a talented Network and Telephony Specialist eager to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment at the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) North Camp near El Gorah, Sinai, Egypt (roughly 35 km by road from El Arish).

The ideal candidate is fluent in English (spoken/written) and will have a high technical college or university degree in Communications, Electronics, or Computer technologies and be a certified Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).  They will have proficiency in networking technologies and equipment as well as being familiar with VoIP and unified communications (i.e. MS Teams) technologies.  Knowledge of Aruba Enterprise wireless solutions and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls is desired as is knowledge of Spanish.

Position Overview

As a Network and Telephony Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our Local and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN), our enterprise Wi-Fi system as well as our telephone networks. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivering 1st- and early 2nd-line configuration, maintenance, and installation support for MFO switches, routers, enterprise Wi-Fi devices, and firewalls.
2. Providing support for MFO wireless access points and Cambium Point-to-Point wireless systems.
3. Utilizing network control and management tools for network maintenance and monitoring.
4. Maintaining Fiber Optic, CAT6/5e/5 backbone cabling systems
5. Supporting IP telephony systems and Microsoft Teams phone systems
