The HR Officer
– Supports the HR projects and initiatives in the field.
– Provides general administrative support (updating staff files and contracts, handling correspondence, registration, and filing, etc.).
– Supervises local recruitment activities and ensures the coherence of the process. Participates in interviews when relevant.
– Ensures that staff-management policies are applied correctly.
– Ensures that information on HR issues under their responsibility is shared with the rest of the delegation or sub-delegation.
– Keeps records (e.g. absences) and ensures that HR data is of good quality and kept up to date, particularly regarding salary.
– Is responsible for the payroll process and all relevant data entries.
– Carries out procedures related to local HR practice, taxes, and social security.
– Acts as HR focal point for the support to the delegation sub-sites.
– Replaces Human Resources team members in all the delegation sub-sites during their absences, only upon request.
– Ensures compliance of HR files with the ICRC global HR standards within the delegation sub-sites
– conducts field visits/missions to support the delegation sub-sites in the implementation of HR projects and procedures.
– Takes responsibility for their own professional learning and development.
– Organizes the administrative aspects of HR meetings and takes minutes of Meetings.
Education & professional experience:
– University degree HR management or relevant field
– Excellent command of English and Hebrew.
– Computer proficiency with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
– Experience on payroll process, preferably with SAP SuccessFactors tool and payroll tools
– Minimum 5 years relevant experience in similar fields of activities.
– Very Good knowledge of Israel and Palestine labor laws
