The HR Officer – Recruitment will be responsible for filling positions that vary from short-term, emergency response, international, and full-time needs to meet the demands of donors and programs in the main offices and field locations. This individual will handle proactive sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and final negotiations for open positions. Additionally, they will initiate and implement recruitment strategies to expand IRC’s talent pool and pipelines, contributing to IRC’s position as an employer of choice and ensuring the organization has a diverse global talent pool that performs at a high level.
Major Responsibilities:
·Manage the full recruitment cycle for national vacancies and service providers by:
–Coordinating with hiring managers to understand job needs and requirements
–Sourcing, screening, and shortlisting of CVs
–Interviewing and presenting recommendations for hire
–Scheduling interviews for candidates with hiring managers and technical interviewers
–Conducting reference checks and ensuring compliance
–Extending offers and closing requisitions
–Documenting each recruitment process for future reference
·Maintain the local recruitment tracker and communicate periodic updates as needed
·Conduct orientation sessions for new Hiring Managers to introduce IRC’s recruitment practices
·Provide guidance to Hiring Managers on recruitment practices for national staff/consultants
·Support the Senior HR Officer – Recruitment as needed in executing various recruitment-related tasks and initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition in the humanitarian sector
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
·Language Skills: Excellent command of Arabic and English
·Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to be clear and concise
·Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time
·Analytical problem-solving skills
·Ability to work independently as well as within a dynamic, cross-functional global team
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
·Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
·Ability to manage and adapt to change proactively and positively
Working Environment:Standard office working environment based at the IRC offices in Beirut.
