Job Overview:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by humanitarian crises – including the climate crisis – to survive, recover, and rebuild their lives. Founded at the call of Albert Einstein in 1933, the IRC is now at work in over 50 crisis-affected countries as well as communities throughout Europe and the Americas. This fully remote position will support Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI) in the United States comprised of 29 dynamic offices. RAI-US delivers lasting impact in refugee and immigrant communities by providing initial resettlement, mental health, employment, workforce development, English as a second language, and immigration services in addition to services for foreign-born survivors of crime and human-trafficking.
 

The Resource, Acquisition, and Management (RAM) team is based in RAI-HQ with the mandate to support RAI-US grants, development, and volunteer management staff. The Development Operations Manager will work to enhance the quality and compliance of business development and fundraising initiatives. The Development Operations Manager will be a trusted resource for development staff across the country, providing technical support on fundraising systems, especially the use of Salesforce, support offices with executing timely donor stewardship, and report to and support the Development Operations Officer with network-wide strategic development initiatives.
 

Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
RAI Field Office Development Support

  • Provide RAI user support on fundraising platforms to RAI Development staff across the United States including Salesforce, Drupal, and email marketing and event platforms.
  • Update and monitor fundraising reports and dashboards for offices to improve accurate visibility into fundraising performance and highlight data discrepancies.
  • Provide on-demand hyper support with the following targets: response within one business day, resolution within 2 business days.
  • Support quality control and delivery of fundraising deliverables such as email appeals and direct mails needed.

Network-wide Systems Support

  • Compile updates and prepare weekly announcements on Resource Acquisition and Management team updates to RAI Development staff, including the weekly acknowledgment report.
  • Conduct weekly audits of data integrity and management on Salesforce – and conduct necessary clean-ups.
  • Develop and maintain RAM team RescueNet intranet page collating resources across the RAM team, including updating Development video and reference resources.
  • Maintain accounts for and support the optimization of paid fundraising tools such as Foundation Directory Online.
  • Escalate training needs and system issues to Development Operations Officer as needed.
  • Support in select national fundraising initiatives.
  • Log support cases and liaise with the relevant technical teams as needed.

Job Requirements:
Work Experience:

  • Extensive experience with private fundraising initiatives and data management systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience developing knowledge resources.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Systems, procedures, and curriculum development
  • Clear, compassionate communication
  • Digital organization and time management

Language Skills:

  • English proficiency

Preferred experience & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or 3+ years experience working in nonprofit fundraising
  • Experience with Salesforce highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear, concise, and compassionate in all communications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage relationships
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and advocate
  • Strong analytic problem-solving skills alongside innovation and flexibility
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional national team structure
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Box with a proactive orientation to learn and leverage databases, technology, and project management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner

Working Environment:

  • Fully remote, occasional travel within the United States possible when funding is available
  • Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace they can effectively complete their work from during regularly scheduled work hours (any time zone in the U.S.)
  • If applicants are located in NYC, hybrid work is available with workspace at HQ

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits: The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.
 

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
