NEW Coordinator (Volunteer) Volunteer – Volunteer Indigo Volunteers Closing 24th of October Greece | France

We are looking for volunteers with previous experience working with displaced communities interested in taking on more responsibilities and ready to commit for a minimum of 6 months.

Depending on your skills and experience, you may get involved in (1) Human Resources and Project Management (volunteer recruitment, training and coordination, operations and project management); (2) Logistics and distribution (managing material distribution projects, organising stocks and donations, managing premises and maintaining a safe environment for all users of warehouses); (3) Communication and Marketing (donors relation and communication with other actors, content creation, social media management, marketing and fundraising strategy); (4) Community Centre Coordination (developing, coordinating and managing activities at community centres, coordinating volunteers, planning activities, engaging the community).

For these roles a minimum availability of 6 months as well as eligibility to live and work in an EU country for said period is required.

Accommodation and/or stipend for volunteers are provided.

Requirements

  • Strong management, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proved experience in relevant field of responsibility
  • Experience working in grassroots organisations
  • Understanding of the complexity and challenges of humanitarian work
  • Familiarity with humanitarian principles
  • Flexibility and stress management skills
  • Awareness of cultural diversity (cultural sensitivity) and of displaced communities more generally
  • Ability to volunteer in Greece or France for min 6 months without needing assistance with VISA application procedures
