About the Project

The STFC Rutherford-Appleton Laboratory (RAL) is the UK’s national centre for experimental particle physics, offering world-class facilities for training & research.

We are offering a funded (with conditions) PhD studentship, to start during Autumn 2024, on the project “Neutrinos as Evidence for Dark Matter & Novel Detector Technologies with LiquidO”. The studentship is provided in partnership with Sussex University, and the student will be co-supervised by both institutes.

The deadline for applications is 2nd Feb. 2024, but late applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The position is open to applicants of any nationality, but the funding will only cover your full costs if you qualify for the university’s “home” fees.
