Summary of Job Duties:
The Neuropsychology Technician in the Psychiatric Research Institute Walker Family Clinic works under general supervision and is responsible for collecting patient information, maintaining patient information, conducting tests and/or procedures that the employee is certified to administer.
The Neuropsychology Technician will administer and score neuropsychological test batteries evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional status in order to assist Neuropsychologists in diagnosis and treatment decisions. They will administer testing appropriately to determine localization of brain lesions, level of functional impairment, and other treatment decisions. They will provide technical support to Neuropsychologists on specialty teams and clinical research projects. They will work with Neuropsychology trainees, maintain databases, and ensure appropriate testing supplies.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with appropriate coursework required for certification through the State of Arkansas Psychology Board
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed as a Neuropsychology Technician through the State of Arkansas Psychology Licensing Board
Responsibilities:
Performs all standard tests for section; reviews and releases results
Compiles, files and maintains charts and records for patients by keying information into computer
Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned
